It was early Saturday morning and she couldn't sleep anymore. She had been up most of the night and the one hour sleep that she had gotten didn't seem to be enough but at the same time her body refused to let her fall back asleep. She sat on the couch and wrapped her blanket around her before turning on the television and curling up on her favorite side, the one closest to the window where she could stop and stare out the window whenever she got bored. The house was spotless, as usually, and it was silent, something she missed when the children were awake. She rested her head against her hand and rested her elbow on the arm of the couch, quietly thinking to herself about what she was going to do today and what she would be doing the next week. But every thought seemed obscured by two people. The first was Kelly, her daughter, whom she loved very much and loved to be around. The other was Jon, her boyfriend and fiance as of the day before. Adrenaline ran through her veins every time she thought about it and smiled as she played with the ring he had given her to mark his love. But inside she was still in pain from what she had found out about him, what he had done to her. She lowered her gaze and then turned her attention back to the television. She was hoping for a day to stay in the house and this was going to be it. Her parents weren't home, so they couldn't tell her that she had chores to do, and it was just her, Kelly, Josh, and Melina in the house, her siblings and her daughter, and she was okay with that.

Dylan rose from the couch after realizing she had to eat but instead of eating she went into the kitchen, got a glass of water and sat back down on the couch. She wasn't ready to eat yet, wanting to wait until the younger kids were up and their chief arrived. It was times like this that Dylan loved her family, she almost never had to do anything around the house because her parents were gone and if they were here, she usually was out of the house at odd hours. She had a tolerance to a lot of things, but the main thing that she had built a tolerance up to was the people she met in her life. she almost always had someone around her, and that was her biggest pet peeve. She could hardly ever find a moment where she was allowed to be alone and at the same time she always felt alone, completely and utterly alone. The only time she didn't was when she was with Jon and when she was with Kelly, and it made her happy that the two most important people in her life made her feel better because it never used to be that way. Back before she had met Jon or had Kelly, her ex only ever her gave her a reason to be afraid, to hate him, to feel alone in the world. She had learned to hide it by her mega bitch behavior, but she was afraid and more than once had a nightmare over the last few years about what he would do if he found her again. That was why she was up so early on a Saturday, a horrible dream had her out of bed and she couldn't seem to find the comfort to go back to her lonely bed and lay there away until she heard someone else rise. She had been in bed, not sleeping, just lying there staring up at the bumps on her ceiling and trying to make some shapes or words out of them. Of course though, she had only found a circle before she had become utterly bored being there. She couldn’t sleep any more. She had gone to bed so early, that sleeping in had lost all meaning to her. She rolled to her side, and then heard footsteps going on outside.
Kelly sat upright and listened carefully, trying to determine if it was Melissa or Josh. She was hoping it wasn’t one of them, because she just had a better time when it was her mommy and not her aunt or uncle. Sadly, the little four year old couldn’t determine who it was by the sound of their feet. But after a moment she heard the tv turn on, and so she decided it would be okay to go downstairs.
Kelly reached across her bed and grabbed her doll, Lucy, was what she called her. She picked up the little hair brush on her bed side table and brushed out Lucy’s hair before she slid off of her bed, with the Disney Princess theme, and she tip toed across her floor. She opened her bed room door and tip toed out into the hall and down stairs.
She crept down stairs until she reached the living room, she saw her mommy on the couch and a smile spread across her face. She ran towards her mom, and jumped on the couch beside her. She placed Lucy down, and sat her upright staring at the tv, then Kelly crawled over to Dylan and she said, Good morning mommy.
She spoke with a happy voice, though she was whispering so she didn’t wake up Melissa or Josh. Kelly threw her arms around Dylan’s neck and she hugged her tightly. Kelly was a very affectionate person, and when she wasn’t around people who didn’t know Dylan was her mom, she was very very open about it. When she dropped her mom, she sat back and noticed the ring on her mom’s finger. She reached for Dylan’s hand and brushed a few small fingers over the ring. She stared at it in awe. So pretty…. She said her brown eyes widening, then she looked up at Dylan, Can I have one? [/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote] this post was made for Dylan and it's a lovely 395 words long. Kelly is wearing her pajamas and the lyrics are from when it rains by paramore and the template's by emma from ach.

Dylan was staring out the window and day dreaming about many things, about Shaya and how much she hated her and about Jon and Kelly, how much she loved them both and couldn't wait to start her life with them both at her side. She had a soft smile on her face as she sat there thinking. Her fingers drummed lightly against her cheek as she did, watching the birds that flew outside and the squirrels that danced across the yard. Dylan had become rather iffy about her daughter being around animals because she was never sure which was a shifter and she hated it more than anything. She knew that Kelly loved animals and so when she was around a dog she couldn't help but cringe and pray that it wouldn't attack or that it was really just a dog and nothing more. But Jonathan was beginning to change her opinion. Not enough to save the other animal shifters from her, but enough where she knew she could trust him. She played with the ring on her finger for a few moments before glancing up at the stairs.

Dylan looked up at stairs and smirked as she saw Kelly's grin before she watched her run down the stairs, set Lucy on the couch and crawl up to her. Dylan wrapped her arms easily around her sweet daughter and kissed her forehead before smiling down at her. good morning darling. she said gently. Once she was released Dylan sat up and gently soothed her daughter's hair. She smiled softly as she watched her quietly. She couldn't help but smile when Kelly ran her little fingers across the ring that Jon had given her and she carefully took it off, offering it to her to look at it. i will talk to jon and see if he knows where it came from. then i will talk to grandma about it. i promise sweetie. she said with a smile and stretched her legs before smiling. Her hands played with her daughters hair before she moved to get up. Sweetie are you hungry or do you want to do your hair? Dylan may not have spent a lot of time at home, but she still knew what made her daughter happy and she would gladly do what she could when she was around to help her. » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » &&. Dylan slowly got up and stretched her legs again as she looked down at Kelly, almost kneeling down next to the couch before deciding to simply squat down beside it. Her eyes were bright as she smiled at her, her eyes dancing as she left the question in the air for Kelly to answer. She didn't mind cooking and doing her hair. Dylan would rather have spent the whole day in the house with Kelly doing this rather than spending it out and about in the town. That and with her parents gone, she was required to stay at home, but it wasn't too big of a deal. Requirements were easy to reach when you got to spend time with an adorable child. Dylan brushed her hair away from her own face as she glanced toward the window at the sound of a car going by. She smiled at the sunny scene and chewed her lip. And then i think we should go outside and play, what do you think? she said with a smile. [/blockquote] ( WORDS ) 663 ! ( TAGGED ) Kelly ! ( NOTES ) SHE IS SO CUTE ! Kelly smiled happily at the idea of having her very own ring and being just like her mom. That was really what she wanted, to be just like her mom. Pretty, smart, and a good mom. She smiled and let her mom’s hand go, Why would Jon know where the ring came from?
Kelly thought curiously. Then her mind snapped back to the day they were going to have. Dylan was sometimes never at home, and although Kelly was still very little she was very observant. And when Dylan wasn’t around she was very upset and grumpy. So today with Dylan around, it would be the best day ever. Kelly picked up Lucy and said with a small grin, I’m a bit hungry mommy. Kelly ran a hand over her stomach as it grumbled. She had been awake for an hour or so, and she was starving. Kelly ran her tiny fingers through Lucy’s hair and then said, Then we do my hair? She smiled up at Dylan, a hand skimmed over her hair that wasn’t really messy, but still needed to be brushed. Sure, when Dylan wasn’t home Kelly had fun with Melissa and Josh, and her grandparents. But the fun was hardly anything compared to the fun and happiness that Dylan brought Kelly. They did literally everything that was entertaining, and Dylan was the best mother in the whole world to Kelly. There was nothing that Kelly felt they couldn’t do when they were together. Except when they were in public, then they were different people. Kelly was not Dylan’s daughter, she was her sister, and that bother Kelly so much more than it bothered Dylan. Well, at least Kelly thought so. What’s for breakfast? She asked curiously, her stomach growled again and she just wanted to eat something. She didn’t care about anything else, well she did, but she was just so hungry that at that moment nothing else seemed to matter. Then Kelly clapped her hands together and bounced a bit on the couch. Can we go to the park? She asked excitedly. The park was her favourite place in the whole world. There were always dogs there and the swings were soooo much fun. It was really just a great place. Can Jon come with us? She asked, her brown eyes wide and a large smile on her lips. » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » &&. Dylan couldn't help but smile at the thought of them all going out. She nodded softly as she got up off the couch and went into the kitchen. Okay sweetie, what do you want to eat then? She called from the kitchen, standing in on the cold tile floor kind of bugged her, but she didn't let it show. There was more important things in life than being happy all the time with the way the floor was. She couldn't help but smile anyway, despite how much it annoyed her, it didn't matter. A day with Jon and Kelly was all she really wanted. She loved the idea of spending time with her family, no matter how long it was. She loved her family more than anything, even if they were always at odds about something or another or sometimes just weren't around. Dylan leaned on the counter and closed her eyes with her elbows on the counter and her head propped in her hands. She glanced toward the living room through the doorway as she waited for an answer, more dreaming about what their day would be like rather than wasting her thoughts too much longer on the cold kitchen floor. She knew it was supposed to be heated but she didn't have the patience to find the damn switch which her brother always moved simply because he thought it was funny when someone walked down the stairs in the morning and was screaming about the cold floor.
» » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » » &&. Dylan had a fleeting feeling of being a mother, the same one that always occurred when she was home after a long period of being away. She hated knowing that she wasn't the best mom in the world and she hated knowing that she couldn't spend all the time in the world with her daughter like her mother did to her. She didn't hate her mother because she remembered those days when she was little, the ones that they went through every day, that took place with them spending time with each other. She had loved them just like she knew that Kelly loved the days they spent together. But she always had that gut feeling that she should have been there more often than she was. Her parents had made this decision for her, the one to protect her life and her secrets, the one that gave her the ability to live her life normally. But she always had the feeling that if she would just say to her parents that she didn't want this to happen... that it wouldn't. Dylan sighed sadly and brushed her hair away from her face, frustrated tears rolling down her face as she bowed her head to look at the counter. She always had that little voice in the back of her head that wanted her to know she was a bad mother and she absolutely hated it. She always had that feeling that there was a weight on her chest and that if she just tried hard enough she would be able to get it off. But until that happened, she still hated herself. With a sigh, Dylan wiped the tears away from her eyes but let the feelings continue onward, hoping and praying that she would be able to make it right. [/blockquote] ( WORDS ) 596 !
