As a human Persephone has a tall, willowy body which lets her tower above most girls her age. She had lightly tanned skin and dark hazel eyes, both framed with long lashes. Her hair flows to half way down her back and has no distinct cut, she mostly just lets it grow. It is a dark brown though in sunlight it can appear to be tinged with flecks of gold. She has a nicely shaped face, though the wideness of her eyes and the boldness of them mean she does look almost permanently sad.

ANIMAL: Persephone is a beautiful bird to look at. She is covered in rich, sapphire coloured feathers that are constantly sleek and shiny. She is a fairly large bird, though not in comparison to some of the eagles and other birds of prey around. She has a large, hooked dark grey beak, the end of which is fairly sharp. Her eye is a beady black, surrounded by a ring of yellow as is the edge of her beak, closest to her face.

PERSONALITY: Persephone has many brilliant, wonderful qualities which set her apart from many other people. She is always kind and tries to help people in need, she loves making friends and wants to be liked by everyone. She fights for animal rights and for justice whenever possible. She likes looking after people less lucky than she is, likes making people better.

On the other hand she also has some awful ones. After being kept in a cage for long amounts of time she is intensely claustrophobic and any form of small spaces, which can include small rooms if made to stay there for a long time. She hates crowds because not only to they trigger her fear of being trapped, they also remind her of how many human there are in the world, how many people might want to hurt her. She is paranoid that people are looking for her, to try and take her back to her adoptive parents who she is scared will lock her up again. This doesn’t happen often though, but it can happen anywhere. She has no idea what her real name is, before she found out she was a shifter, her adoptive parents called her Leah, however when she shifted they told her it wasn’t her real name, they had made it up when they thought she was normal. She gave herself the name Persephone to reflect how trapped and lonely she felt.
