RAV FERMOTH
Rav breathed in the crisp morning air and sighed with delight. In his hand he held a Starbucks coffee and he had a nice, black leather shoulder pack slung over his shoulders. He did not gel his hair today but allowed it to hang freely. Today he had the day off from the world. A day to indulge himself without being bothered. Today was his day. His own personal day and Rav could not wait to get started.
The sun hovered over the horizon causing streams of pink and gold. Rav had always loved watching the sun rise and set but he prefered to watch it when he was along side the ocean. There was just something about the way the salty air stung his lips and how the sun seemed to melt away beneath the blue waters. He smiled to himself. He had not seen the ocean in quite some time which was a pity. Rav sighed wistfully as he continued his trek through the thickly wooded area. Not a lot of New Yorkers came down to these parts, many of them would be walking along the paths in the parks or maybe out in hiking woods but rarely did they ever come to Blue Lake.
Blue Lake was a place for the shifting world. Although Rav had not spoken to any of the shifters he knew that they were commonly found roaming this part of the territory along with other animals as well. Wonder if I'll come across anything or anyone today... He pondered as he settled himself down a few feet away from the shoreline. Rav propped himself up against a tree and slid his sheek leather pack onto his lap. His hands worked quickly as he gathered a couple of pencils and pulled out his sketch book. Blue Lake was also a prime location for sketching. Today Rav had hopped he would be able to sketch what the lake looked like as the sun slowly rose.
He flipped past some of his other works like the pack of wolves he had drawn the previous week and the sketch of a meadow. Once he found a clean page he gently brushed his hand across the page, glanced up at the scene infront of him, and began to sketch. Rav's hand worked quickly but carefully as scribbled across the white page. His brows were knit together with concentration and his murky blue eyes flickered from the lake and back down to his sketch.
However, as Rav busily sketched a fellow shifter was watching from nearby...
