PUT ON YOUR PRETTY LIES
NAME: Alice Revar
NICKNAMES: Alice, cat
AGE: 22
DATE OF BIRTH: 1/April/1988
GENDER: Female
ORIENTATION: Heterosexual
SPECIES: Animal Shifter
OTHER: Black, short haired house cat.
FADED PICTURES ON THE WALL
EYES: Pale green, often mistaken for gray in the right lighting.
HAIR: Short and shaggy, her black hair is cut nearly as short as an average guys, and tends to stick out in different places. She never tries to tame it.
HEIGHT: Five feet six inches
WEIGHT: 120 lbs
MARKS: Three parallel scars on the left side of her head, running close to her left eye but not touching it. She also has a tattoo of the Cheshire Cat on her right shoulder, grinning widely.
OVERALL: Alice has a lean body, but not very curvy. She has a sly glint in her eyes, one that is fairly untrustworthy. Her fingers are long and thin, as are her fingernails, since she never bothers to cut them or paint them. The only makeup she wears is mascara, but only on rare occasions. Alice smirks a lot, but her grin is quirky. She does have a slightly shabby air about her, and she never wears real expensive clothes. In fact, all of them seem to be second hand in one way or another, but she could care less. Clothes are not important to her.
As a cat, Alice seems to bare many similar characteristics. Her fur is pure black with no markings, and her tail is long with a quirk in it similar to her grin. Her eyes are the same green gray, with the exception of the slitted pupils. She's small, and able to fit into tight spaces easily in this form. Her black claws are long in this shift, too, and incredibly useful to her in more ways than one.

PERSONALITY:
Alice is a rather fickle critter. She's never straightforward, and simply can't resist taunting and teasing those who try to come and ask her questions. However, if show any sign of wishing her ill will, she'll flee and you will never see her again unless she wishes it. Fighting is not in her repertoire, and the only true combat skills she possesses are her instincts. It's not that she is a pacifist, but mostly because she would rather flee than fight. Watch out, though, because the claws will come out if she is cornered, like most cats.
Why would you wish to know her? Well, she does have some useful skills. Being the alley cat that she is, she's very good at listening to the crowds around her while being ignored herself. She's attentive, always keeping on ear listening to the gossip of the everyday travelers. You may find her handy in spying on humans to see if they have yet to learn of other shifters, and what they would do to them if the opportunity arose. Of course, you'd have to pay her to get the job done. Money is most useful, but she'd never pass down some glittery object or another, especially bracelet es and necklaces. You may only see her wear them on a few occasions, for she hoards them in a gleaming stash like any crazed animal. Sometimes she just likes to look at them and see them glitter in the sunlight, but other times she will take the less appealing pieces and sell them off for a little extra cash. That, of course, is used for necessities like food and rent, and maybe a spot of rum if she can afford it.
Riddles are something she is very fond of. She likes to read them and will spend days figuring out the answer. You can't say she's stupid, though some might think her infuriating when she asks her own riddles. Some are hard, and some incredibly easy. She only says them for her own amusement, and on the rare occasion will take the answer in exchange to do a task instead of money or jewels.
Watch your pockets around her, for she is a sly and cunning thief. She's a very experienced pick pocket and an amateur lock picker. She's still learning at it, and the more complicated locks give her more trouble than their worth, sometimes frustrating her until she either gives up or tries to kick the door down, though the latter usually never succeeds.

ROLEPLAY SAMPLE:
Eyes of the palest green watched the people walking back in forth, intrigued. A sleek black cat sat nonchalantly in the entrance to a particularly dark, murky alleyway. It's quirked tail twitched back in forth at random, and the ears flicked once or twice as they caught the sounds of scurrying rats behind them. No one paid attention to the feline, for most did not look down on their daily commute to work and other places. Content, the cat leaned slightly against the brick wall beside her and watched, waiting for something.
Alice was not kept waiting long. A boy of about eighteen, looking a bit lost and frustrated, approached the alley warily. He hesitated, seeing the cat and locking eyes with it. In a swift motion the feline was on all fours and stalking back into the dark alley. The boy waited a moment before following. The alley smelled putrid, various odors drifting away from the overflowing dumpsters and opened trash cans. He walked all the way until he came to a dead end, barricaded by a brick wall. On top of said wall perched a thin young woman with messy black hair that was only slightly longer than the boy's own brown hair. "You said you had answers and would help me," he said, voice shaking slightly as he looked up at the unnerving green eyes. They gleamed with mischief. "I promised nothing, and yet you came. I won't say you're smart, per se, but you are not dumb, either," she said cheerfully, legs swinging merrily. The boy frowned, that hadn't been the answer he'd expected. He licked his lips and tried again. "What have you learned from the store owners?" he asked, voice stronger this time around. The woman mulled it over, pulling an expression of polite thoughtfulness. "You have nothing to fear, boy. What was rumored has proven false, and what was long lost has, ironically, been found," she said, preferring not to speak openly. Her ridiculous way of speaking once again caught the boy off guard as he tried to dig through her words. What he didn't know was that this was really open for Alice, the woman, and not as vague and confusing as she usually was. Perhaps she was taking pity on his youth and his fears, though he couldn't have been more than four years younger than herself.
