It mostly has to do with the fact that he went through a major trauma at one point in his life and now has multiple different people he sees in his mind. It has nothing to do with what he has done because he hasn't done anything to make it happen, it just does. He has a bad sense of imagination and his writing skills got to be the way they are because he writes down everything that happens to him.

Shane has a bad temper for when he gets in fights. He likes to fight and spends most of his time either arguing verbally or fighting physically which probably isn't safe for him, but he does it anyway. He has a horrible sense of humor because he is crazy and cant tell when people are serious or not. He is known to be violent occasionally.
